Modern Sauna Cabin Design and Production !
This project is a fully custom-designed outdoor sauna cabin developed for a private residential garden in London, created from scratch to deliver a refined balance between luxury, functionality, and connection to nature. The concept was driven by the client’s request for two distinct spatial experiences: an open-sided configuration that maximizes natural light and visual connection to the garden, and a fully enclosed version that offers a more private, immersive environment with controlled access from the front. Both variations were carefully designed to maintain a consistent architectural identity while adapting to different usage preferences and weather conditions.
The material palette plays a key role in defining the atmosphere of the space. A darker exterior wood tone was selected to give the cabin a strong, modern presence within the garden, while the interior features lighter wood to create warmth, contrast, and a welcoming, calming environment. This balance enhances both the visual depth and the overall sensory experience inside the sauna. Every surface and detail was considered to achieve a clean, minimal, and high-end finish.
The layout was optimized to make full use of the available footprint, allowing for a spacious sauna interior while seamlessly integrating a cold plunge within the same platform. This approach ensures that the entire structure remains compact yet highly functional, enabling year-round use regardless of weather conditions. The inclusion of HUUM heaters further elevates the experience, combining performance with a refined aesthetic that complements the overall design language.
Beyond functionality, the project focuses heavily on experience. The open configuration allows sunlight to enter the space naturally and frames views of the surrounding garden, reinforcing a strong connection to the outdoors. This creates an environment where users can fully relax, disconnect, and benefit from both the physical and mental advantages of sauna and cold therapy. The result is a space that is not only visually striking but also deeply immersive , designed to promote well-being, tranquility, and everyday escape within the comfort of a private home.
