For this project, our ambition was simple: deliver a gym space worthy of a five-star London property. The gym formed part of a wider private wellness suite we designed for the client, incorporating a bespoke sauna, steam room, shower area and custom ice bath creating a complete, hotel-grade experience within the home.
The design language drew inspiration from traditional old English interiors, blending heritage detailing with contemporary refinement. Rich, dark timber wall panelling creates depth and character throughout the space, while a seamless microcement ceiling introduces a clean, modern contrast. The balance between classic craftsmanship and contemporary finishes gives the room both warmth and authority.
For the equipment selection, we curated a line-up that matched the architectural quality of the room. We installed the Personal Line bike, rower and elliptical from Technogym sleek, design-led pieces that sit comfortably within a luxury residential setting. These were paired with a bespoke power rack and strength equipment from Watson Gym Equipment, adding a more traditional, performance-driven edge.
The standout elements, however, came from PENT Fitness. Their beautifully crafted custom dumbbells, ballet barre and Pilates reformer introduced a sculptural quality to the space fitness equipment that feels more like furniture than machinery. The materials and detailing elevated the gym from functional to exceptional.
To date, we believe this is the finest gym we have designed. The cohesion between architecture, equipment and wider wellness integration sets it apart. As a complete project, we genuinely believe it has award-winning potential and we could not be prouder of the outcome.
